The Experimental Prophecy

Experimental Prophecy:

A study in personal manifestation

Objective: To quantitatively test the ability of a human being to manifest their own reality using a set methodology involving a prophecy and an environment in which they are willing to open up to new experiences. To create a personal experience to awaken yourself to the power of nature and to your energy to create the world that you desire.

Hypothesis: That human energy, when directed towards a certain goal, can create synchronicity and coincidence in life that furthers that goal.

Materials:

1 human being

1 prophecy for experimentation

1 environment in which to meet others and have experiences i.e. A journey

Method:

A. Creating the Journey:

Now, this is as simple as setting up the canvas for which you want to manifest, a journey of sorts. It could be an actual travel experience or simply a couple of weeks in your life – but it should be a time in which you feel that you can be open to things other than the grind of your daily life. If you choose to use your daily routine it may be difficult to escape the to and fro of work and to really let your prophecy come to fruition. However, keep in mind that it is certainly still very possible to have your journey start at any time regardless of routine.

B. Creating the Prophecy:

There are many different ways of creating a ‘prophecy’ whether they are supernatural or just very practical. They may involve getting others’ input and being very straightforward or taking a more cryptic approach.  The following is the method that I took:

Sit down in a quiet room with a piece of paper and a writing utensil.

Quiet your mind in whatever method you prefer, whether to concentrate on your breath (annapurna), controlling your breath (pranayama) or repeating a mantra or mental image.

Once you feel sufficiently relaxed, pick up the pencil and paper and write down whatever you feel comes to you. Whether it makes sense or not. It could come in the form of a rhyming limerick, or it could be some disjointed sentences strung together, or it even could be very straightforward language that is precise and clear in its meaning. It could be something as clear as “I want my true path in life to reveal itself” N.B.? The vaguer your prophecy is, the less scientific, due to the fact that there are more interpretations of what qualifies as fruition. On the same note, the vaguer your prophecy, the more open you are making yourself to nature’s (or destiny’s) true intention. Furthermore, for my purposes I have made a nearly nonsensical but specific prophecy in order to test my objective and hypothesis (of course throwing in some general positive thoughts at the end).
When you feel that you have written enough, sit for a moment, then read back over what you have written. Feel free to cross out (within reason) or alter words, as you feel necessary.

C. Manifesting the Prophecy:

Now that you have a prophecy, you can choose whatever process you have discovered for manifestation.  You can choose to only repeat or read the prophecy once or to look at it throughout the journey’s duration.  Due to the fact that my prophecy is written for a specific trip that will last a year, I have chosen to read, meditate and think on my prophecy every night leading up to the day of my departure for the month prior to my departure. After that point I will put my prophecy away and not look at it again until the end of my journey.

Recording the Results:

The most important aspect of experiencing your own power to manifest is to realize that you have actually manifested it. This can be done either informally or more formally. In my experiment I have chosen to record daily/weekly occurrences in a journal. This will be written objectively with very little emphasis on how well this correlates with the prophecy.

Discussion and Analysis:

The discussion and analysis will occur primarily at the end of the journey by anyone who cares to participate but I will certainly welcome input from anyone who would like to draw correlations. For the sake of science, it is preferred to get outside opinions in order to gain a more objective opinion of the correlations that exist.
